For these people, authenticity is not usually the biggest thing. A lot of them will get collectible movie memorabilia that is actually remade. It makes for much cheaper collectibles which are easier to get a hold of, and it serves the same decorative purpose for them. For other people, it is all about having something old and precious. The movie collectibles they get help them feel like they’re part of something before their time. It is all about nostalgia for them. Through their movie memorabilia collections, they can relive something which they never got to experience the first time. They can be there on the screen with the greats, in front of the adoring eyes of millions. Neither of these reasons, however, is what drives my aunt.
